Matthew 16:21-28

How will God use my struggles today?

How will they help me to be equipped to continue to work for God’s kingdom in bringing Him praise?

Jesus, help me not to be discouraged by my failures in doing Your will.

I am determined to remain devoted until it is fulfilled.

My shortcomings have much to teach me.

About You as being the Son of Man throughout eternity;

Focusing on God’s purpose and not mine alone.

I will deny myself and follow Christ as He sits on His throne.

It will mean taking up my cross and stepping out of my comfort zone.

A THOUGHT TO REFLECT ON

To be Jesus’ disciple means being committed to a slow death to self while on your cross, in conjunction with following Him.
