Marriage Prayer
Lord, as we start our day, let us get down on our knees and pray.
As the husband, let me be considerate of my wife, with respect.
At the end of this day, I will have no regrets.
I want to surrender all to You, so my prayers to You today will not be hindered.
We pray that we will be like-minded in Christ.
This will help us in our decision in making them right.
Let us be sympathetic in expressing how one another feels.
Learning how to be empathetic will make it be very real.
Help us to be loving to each other, to be compassionate, and to show humility.
Lord, I pray, please let this be true in me.
Please help us not repay evil for evil, or insults with insults that will bring shame.
This is an evil game that will not bring praise to Your holy name.
Show me how to be a blessing, speaking words of life and not of deceit.
I want to speak in words that bring belief.
I want my actions not to be evil but good.
I pray I will do as a godly husband should.
I know Your eyes are watching and Your ears are listening too.
My wife and I are praying to be blessed to live godly today by You.
A THOUGHT TO REFLECT ON
Talk to God; He is listening.
Father, as we take this life journey together, please show us the right path.
“O LORD, we give our life to you. No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others. Show us the right, O LORD; point out the road for us to follow. Lead us by your truth path and teach us, for you are the God who saves us. All day we put our hope in you.” Psalm 25:1, 3-5
[Husband] Father, help me to love my wife and allow me to die in any selfish way that would keep her from trusting and following me as I follow You. Help me to give up even my life for her as Christ gave up His life for me.
[Wife] Lord, help me honor my husband with respect and trust
that with his decision, he will always have the good of our family in mind. Could you help me follow him as he follows You? Make us one as You and the Father are one.
Psalm 25:3-5
1 O Lord, I give my life to you.
3 No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced,
but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.
4 Show me the right path, O Lord;
point out the road for me to follow.
5 Lead me by your truth and teach me,
for you are the God who saves me.
All day long I put my hope in you.
