Temptation

Genesis 3:1–7

Pay attention; to be watchful and alert, and you must be awake.

Temptation is constantly on the prowl, wanting you to make mistakes.

He is your enemy who prowls.

You must use your spiritual eyes like an owl.

Temptation is from Satan, who prowls like a roaring lion looking for someone to be his prey.

Do not be his victim; you must stay on your knees and pray.

For any hint of self-will,

Satan will surely use it for real.

He will use it to make you a victim of the kill.

To escape from temptation to God, you must run.

It is causing you to stand firm in your faith in Jesus Christ, God’s holy Son.

A THOUGHT TO REFLECT ON

The best way to escape temptation is to know that is what it is.
